Words from the Directors
In celebration of Tower Mains’ birthday month, our directors Andrew and Fiona Waddell recap on the last twenty years…
In October 2001 – exactly twenty years ago – we took a deep breath and posted the Notice of Incorporation for Tower Mains Limited to Companies House. The funding was in place and all we needed were a few staff – and some clients.
Everyone starting a new business will recognise the controlled terror we experienced. Would our plans work? Would companies want to do business with us? Would we still be here in twenty years?
We didn’t know it at the time but the answers to all of these would be a resounding “YES”. We have worked with more than four hundred clients and provided services in forty-seven countries, and we continue to grow in both breadth and depth of the services we provide.
Our business model is to be simple, direct, and meaningful. It is very easy to make things unnecessarily complex and we have always looked beyond the performance of audits to working with organisations to improve and develop their quality systems.
We could not deliver consistently excellent support to our clients without first-class colleagues. It has been a privilege to identify talented individuals and give them the space to grow both personally and professionally.
That’s the first twenty years completed. We will shortly announce restructuring and expansion to set us up for another successful twenty years. Thank you to all the clients who have supported us and to the excellent members of the Tower Mains’ team who have made us the success we are today.
