Meet the Team – Q&A with Senior Associate, Robbie Boyle
After working in quality assurance for a central laboratory, Robbie joined Tower Mains in 2021 as Senior Associate. Here, he tells us what initially attracted him to QA, his career highlights, and what makes him tick outside of Tower Mains.
What initially attracted you to a career in QA?
I was always interested in the processes of pharmaceutical companies and how the drugs we use today come to market, so when I finished my master’s at University, I was job hunting and found myself applying for my previous QA role. I didn’t know what QA was as a function within the pharmaceutical world but during the interview, I soon learned that it is an integral function (I may be biased…) within the industry, and QA personnel are fortunate to be exposed to all the processes that make up a company within the pharmaceutical industry. With that, I knew QA was the job for me and would satisfy my curiosity about how and why things work.
What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
Joining Tower Mains of course! But also being fortunate to work with some incredible QA people who have guided and continue to guide me in my QA career, and to have the opportunity to learn from these talented individuals on how to be a better QA Auditor
You’re fairly new to the team at Tower Mains, what have you enjoyed the most so far?
It’s been great to work with and be part of the Tower Mains team and I’m enjoying working in such a fast-paced environment. I’ve also enjoyed being exposed to a wide range of interesting audits and lovely sponsors.
What makes you tick outside of Tower Mains?
When not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing the odd bit of golf, and going to the gym!
